As a mother, the juggle of modern-day parenting can sometimes feel overwhelming. For

As a mother, the juggle of modern-day parenting can sometimes feel overwhelming. Forme personally, between homeschooling, coordinating schedules, managing finances,

supporting our family businesses, preparing meals, and fostering a loving home environment, it’s easy to get drained and then lose sight of my own power. However, I’ve

discovered that by tapping into our inner strength and adopting simple yettransformative hacks, us Moms can truly supercharge our "mom game" and thrive in ourrole as nurturers, educators, and pillars of support for our families, communities, andworkplace.

In a New York Times article I read during the pandemic (YIKES! Remember that?!), the importance of self-care for mothers was highlighted, emphasizing that taking time for ourselves is not a luxury but a necessity. That article really stuck with me. As moms, we often put our needs last, but neglecting self-care can lead to burnout and diminished well-being.

I recognize that self-care has been totally commercialized by the wellnessindustry, but it doesn’t have to be expensive or even cost anything. I'vefound that setting aside even just a few minutes each day for activities thatbring me joy and relaxation, such as reading a book, taking a walk,

Journaling and reflecting can make a world of difference in my overall mood and energy levels. Practicing mindfulness that suits your wellness is what is most important. Ultimately, THAT is what Having A Moment is all about!

One book that has truly resonated with me on my personal journey of self-discovery asa parent is "The Awakened Family" by Dr. Shefali Tsabary, a renowned conscious

parent coach. Dr. Shefali's teachings emphasize the importance of being present,

authentic, and emotionally connected with our children. By cultivating our own inner

growth and self-awareness, we can model healthy behaviors and create deeper, more

meaningful relationships with our kids. To me, that’s the power I want and need as I

soar with my Superhero cape on!

One of the simple activities that I've found to be incredibly effective in unleashing

my inner power is the practice of gratitude. 

Taking a few moments each day to reflect on the blessings in my life, no matter how

small, helps shift my perspective from one of scarcity to one of abundance. Expressing

gratitude not only boosts my own mood but also sets a positive example for my children,

teaching them the value of appreciation and mindfulness.

Another powerful hack that has transformed my approach to parenting is the

practice of setting boundaries. As moms, we often feel the pressure to be everything

to everyone, but learning to say no and prioritize our own needs is essential for

maintaining balance and well-being. By establishing clear boundaries with our time,

energy, and emotions, we can create a healthier and more sustainable dynamic within

our families.

With a new season (both in Nature and in life) soon to arrive, I'm excited to embark on

a 30-day challenge designed to supercharge my mom game and embrace the joys

of summer with renewed energy and enthusiasm. This challenge will include simple

daily self-care rituals, such as journaling, meditation, and exercise. I’d love for you to do

Incorporating these simple activities into my daily routine has not only made me a better

mom but has also helped me rediscover my own inner power and resilience. 

The definition of “prioritize” is important to embrace.  I’ll admit it’s taken me a long time

for me to do so.  

1. designate or treat (something) as more important than other things.

2. determine the order for dealing with (a series of items or tasks)

according to their relative importance.

By prioritizing self-care, practicing gratitude, setting boundaries, and embracing new

challenges, I am unlocked a newfound sense of purpose and fulfillment in my role as a

mother, and I’m ready to take it to the next level through the Having A Moment

Challenge in June!

By nurturing our own growth and well-being, we can create a more harmonious and

loving environment for ourselves AND our families to thrive. So together let's embrace

our inner power, supercharge our mom game, and step into the summer season with

confidence and grace.
